Inside the studio and an update.

We are Rose & Natalie, the duo behind still studio! We started still studio in 2022 to create an accessible space for creatives wanting to host workshops and small events in Leeds city centre. We knew of the barriers that artists can face and we wanted to break some of those down and introduce a space dedicated to the needs of creatives in Leeds and beyond!

As we entered 2025, we had to make changes to the way the studio operated. With the uncertainty that came from Leeds Council’s decision to sell the building we called home, we had to take the difficult decision to pause new bookings for workshops and events in the studio during 2024 and so, we’re now taking things ‘on the road’! This year, we’re bringing creative workshops, mindful practice and of course, our Drawing Club to various new locations - follow along to see where we’re popping up next!

Creative Workshops & Exhibitions

We’ve hosted countless workshops, shared our space with creatives for private meetings, held small business coffee mornings and more. We’re really proud of the community we have brought together in the time we’ve had - through our monthly Drawing Clubs, hosting Artists and Makers who want to share their skills and with the Exhibitions we have curated. Our most successful exhibition to date being the Summer Postcard Exhibition held in September ‘23. The call-out and marketing campaign to invite as many submissions as possible meant that we had just over 120 artists exhibiting in our Little Room and over 70% of the artwork on display sold.

Branding & Marketing

The still brand has been developed in collaboration with Rose. We have grown our social account and mailing list organically and have high levels of engagement from our audience. We are also very proud of the mindful space we created within the studio walls.

We believe that for creativity to bloom, you have to take a moment to be still.
